Procedures should be simplified - Dr. M.K. Muneer

Kozhikkode, 15 sep: Dr. M K Muneer, Minister for Panchayaths and social welfare stated that procedures in the public works departments should be simplified to achieve good results in infrastructural development. The inadvertent procedural errors are often misinterpreted as corruption. Engineers and even the political leaders are being victimized for this procedural errors;He added. Minister was Inaugurating the Engineers day celebration organised by the Association of Engineers Kerala at Kozhikkode. The event was inaugurated by the Minister in the PWD rest house conference hall at 2.00 pm. Er. P M Radhakrishnan, President, Kozhikkode District Centre, Association of Engineers Kerala welcomed the gathering. Er. P.A. Hashim, in his presidential address said that the engineers have lost their confidence because of the denial of their various demands by the higher-ups decades ago. Sri. A Pradeepkumar, MLA of Kozhikkode, in his felicitation speech said that the decision-making in most of the matters should not go beyond the Superintending Engineer level to simplify the procedures for fast execution of works. Er. T. Baburaj, Chief Engineer, PWD Administration felicitated the event. Dr. T.P. Somasundaran, Professor, NIT, Kozhikkode done a very educating Visvesvaraya memorial talk on Forensic Engineering. Er. Muhammed Ashraf, General Secretary Association of Engineers Kerala delivered the vote of thanks for the event.
