29/12/2013, Alappuzha: Ala-2013 - The annual Sports and cultural festival of Association of Engineers concluded here at Alappuzha today. The event was highly successful and helped the members to regain the energy to work hard further, Er. Joseph Scaria, General Convener of the event said. Kozhikode District Centre won the Overall Championship in Sports & Games(132 Points) giving Kannur District the second place(110 Points). Kozhikode is also the champions of Athletics (70 Points) reserving the first position in the next years march past. Malappuram became second in Athletics(69 Points). Games overall Champion is Kannur (66 points) and runner up is Kozhikode(62 Point). The Indvidual Champion in Sports is Er. Pradeep P, (Kottayam)(Men Below 45). Er. Jeeso Cherian(Idukki) & Er. Abdul Hameed K (Malappuram) shared the Indvidual Championship for Men above 45. Indvidual Champion (Women) is Er. Sindhu (Kozhikode). In Cultural events overall crown was won by Kannur(63) pushing back Kozhikode to second place (34 points). Detailed Score Board will be made available in the website soon. New office bearers have been installed in the Annual General Body Meeting held here at Carmel Polytechnic. Er. D Vinayan(President), Er. Mukesh K(Vice President), Er. Pantaleon K J(General Secretary), Er. Abdul Hameed K (Joint Secretary), Er. Vinod P S(Treasurer) are the new leaders of the Association.
