27/10/2013, Chathankari, Pathanamthitta: The remains of Er. D Gopakumar, Former President of the Association, State Executive Committee Member & Superintending Engineer, Irrigation North Circle, Kozhikode was cremated here at 2:30pm. Er. Gopakumar died on 23/10/2013, 8: 30am at MIMS hospital Kozhikode. He had been hospitalised due to serious health issues. The body was kept at his redidence at Malapparamba, Kozhikode up to 9pm on wednesday and later taken to his maternal home at Chathankary. Er. Gopakumar is survived by wife Dr. A P Sashikala(Professor, NIT, Calicut), daughter Anjali(VIT, Chennai) w/o Mr. Arunraj(Engineer WIPRO, Chennai) & son Anilkumar(Engineer, WIPRO, Thiruvananthapuram). Born as an elder son to Professor G D Nair, Principal(Rtd.), NSS College, Panthalam. His brothers are Dr. D Rajasekharan, Er. D Harikumar & Adv. D Sreekumar. State President Er. P R Jayaprakash, General Secretary C V Suresh Babu, other State Executive members, Engineers from all over the State & prominent personalities from all walks of life paid homage to the Immediate Past President of the Association at his residence "Manthra", Chathankari .
