25/09/2013, Thiruvananthapuarm: Winners of Visvasvaraya gold Medals were declared here today. These gold Medals are given away to the offsprings of the Member Engineer being toppers of Engineering Entrance Examination in the KEAMS, JEE(Main), JEE(Advanced) schemes. There were no nominations in the JEE(Advanced Category) Er. C V Suresh Babu, General Secretary of the Association added. Anjana B won the Medal in JEE(Main) category with rank 9557. Anjana, born on 19th September 1995, Daughter of Er. T M Balachandran, Assistant Engineer, Irrigation Section Vazhani, Thrissur and Smt. Preetha E, City Police Commissionerate, Thrissur. She completed schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ottappalam & Kendriya Vidyalaya, Thrissur securing 96.20 In Class XII(CBSE). Anjana is pursuing her B-Tech(Electrical & Electronic Engineering) in National Institute of Technology, Kozhikode. Aswathy Shaji won the medal in KEAM category with rank 1979. Aswathy, born on 12th September 1995, Daughter of Er. V S Shaji, Executive Engineer, Mechanical Division, Malampuzha and Asha R, State Insurance Directorate, Thiruvananthapuram. She completed schooling at Bishop Moore Higher Secondary School, Mavelikkara Christ Nagar Higher Secondary School, Thiruvananthapuram securing 96.40 in Class XII(ISC). Aswathy is pursuing her B-Tech(Civil Engineering) at College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram. The medals will be awarded to the winners by Dr. Tessy Thomas, Project Director, Agni IV, DRDO in the event of Engineers Day & Veisvesvaraya Medal Presentation on 30/09/2013 at IMA house, Ernakulam
